The Electric Power Corporation (EPC) has announced emergency maintenance works that will temporarily interrupt electricity supply in parts of Savai‘i early Friday morning.
The outage will affect parts of the Asau Feeder, from Gataivai to Aopo, as EPC carries out urgent repairs from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday, July 24.
EPC said the emergency works involve replacing damaged components on a high-voltage pole in Taga and maintenance work on a transformer in Foailuga.
The utility said the work is necessary to maintain the safety and reliability of the electricity network and protect the public travelling through the affected areas.
EPC advised residents in the affected areas to prepare for the temporary interruption while teams complete the maintenance.
