A livestock breeder has been arrested on the eastern Aegean Sea island of Lesvos for allegedly growing marijuana in his sheepfold, police said Thursday.
The suspect was taken into custody Tuesday in the island’s southern Kalloni area.
Police raided his sheepfold following a tip-off and seized 33 cannabis plants up to 1.8 meters in height growing in pots, as well as some 200 grams of marijuana and a pair of precision scales.
The man faces charges of growing, possessing and dealing in drugs.
