Tshwane Flying Squad officers recovered four vehicles linked to violent crimes during a targeted crime-fighting operation, disrupting the alleged movement of vehicles connected to a house robbery, a cigarette robbery and vehicle theft in separate incidents across the metro.
This comes after members of the Tshwane Flying Squad carried out an operation on Tuesday, July 28, during which they recovered four vehicles in Olievenhoutbosch and Mamelodi East.
In a statement, police said the first recovery was made while Flying Squad members were conducting patrols in Olievenhoutbosch when they discovered an abandoned yellow Jeep Renegade on Summit Road.
After verifying the vehicle's registration details, officers established that it had been stolen during a house robbery in the area.
"Members from the Local Criminal Record Centre (LCRC) attended the scene for further investigation. The vehicle was taken to Pretoria West VCIU and booked under an SAP13 number."
