However, local authorities and emergency management services have issued an urgent plea to holidaymakers and day-trippers to refrain from snow chasing during the Orange Level 6 severe weather warnings.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) said that they expect disruptive rainfall to cause flooding of bridges, roads and settlements, as well as damage to property and infrastructure along the coast and adjacent interior between East London in the Eastern Cape and Cape Vidal in KwaZulu-Natal.
