The South African Policing Union is amplifying its demand for accountability and urging bold, transformative leadership changes at IDAC.

Sapu’s Lesiba Thobakgale is calling for action against IDAC officials for their ‘reckless, premature or procedurally flawed decisions’ that led to the provisional withdrawal of fraud and corruption charges against Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo and his co-accused.

This comes after the State reversed course in its case against Crime Intelligence head Dumisani Khumalo and his co-accused.

The union has sharply criticised IDAC's tactics, accusing them of arbitrarily arresting and publicly humiliating members based on incomplete investigations.
