Speculation has ensued around IDAC's intention to arrest Crime Intelligence (CI) head Lt-General Dumisani Khumalo and CI’s Component Head of Intelligence Analysis and Co-ordination, Major General Nosipho Madondo.
The Parliament has approached the National Director of Public Prosecution (NDPP) for an explanation regarding the drama involving the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) and senior Crime Intelligence officers at the Brooklyn police station in Pretoria this week.
James Ndebele, a lawyer for Crime Intelligence (CI) head Lt-General Dumisani Khumalo and CI’s Component Head of Intelligence Analysis and Co-ordination, Major General Nosipho Madondo, was hard at work on Saturday, drafting urgent correspondence challenging IDAC’s actions against his clients.
“There is an urgent letter that I am busy sending out to IDAC,” said Ndebele.
The commotion involving IDAC and the Crime Intelligence bosses depicted turmoil fermenting within the security cluster.
