The highest-level red warnings have been issued for the islands of the Sporades and parts of Evia from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. Coastal areas of Magnesia in eastern Thessaly are also expected to experience particularly severe weather.
Orange warnings are in effect for parts of Central Macedonia, eastern Central Greece, including the Athens region, and the northeastern Aegean islands of Lemnos, Thasos and Samothrace.
