Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of three teenagers in Cape Town.

Cape Flats streets have once again been stained with the blood of young people after three teenagers were gunned down and another wounded in two separate incidents in the past 48 hours.

Tuesday morning turned deadly when two teenagers, aged 17 and 18, were shot and killed, while a 16-year-old was wounded in Feyenoord Street, Eerste River, shortly before 9am.

According to reports, the victims were standing in the road when four unknown gunmen approached and opened fire on the teenagers.

Community members claim they heard multiple gunshots before discovering the bullet-ridden bodies.
