Three separate shootings in Cape Town leave eleven fatalities overnight.
Eleven people have been killed in three separate shootings across Cape Town overnight, with Western Cape police reinforcing deployments in Langa, Khayelitsha and Gugulethu.
The shootings happened within hours of each other from late Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday, leaving eight men and three women dead. Two others were injured.
Police said four men and a woman were shot dead in Winnie Mandela Street in Phase 3, KwaLanga, at about 10.45pm.
Five minutes later, three men, aged 25, 31 and 35, were shot dead in TR Section, Lingelethu West in Khayelitsha.
