MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) was tasked with improving budget information after an assessment found lawmakers had limited view into how development cooperation spending supports the Philippine Development Plan.

The Philippines scored 0.8 out of 1 for providing Congress with development cooperation budget and financing information, in line with legal requirements, according to the latest Philippine Action Plan for Effective Development Cooperation by the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DepDev).

The findings stemmed from the country’s Fourth Monitoring Round under the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC).
