Heatwave conditions are expected to persist across most of Greece over the coming days, with temperatures forecast to reach 40-42 degrees Celsius in central mainland areas on Monday and Tuesday, according to the latest weather forecasts.
Temperatures are expected to ease across central and northern Greece on Wednesday, while the heatwave will continue in southern parts of the country.
A more significant drop in temperatures is forecast from Thursday, accompanied by local showers and thunderstorms in several regions.
