Russian forces have launched 69 attacks on the positions of Ukraine's Defense Forces since the beginning of the day, with the heaviest fighting taking place in the Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, and Pokrovsk sectors.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the operational situation as of 16:00 on Saturday, July 18, in a Facebook update.
Russian artillery continues to shell border areas. The settlements of Tovstodubove, Sopych, Novovasylivka, Neskuchne, Khliborob, Bachivsk, Iskryskivshchyna, Korenok, Bezsalivka, Luzhky, Yastrubshchyna, and Malushyne in the Sumy region, as well as Khrynivka in the Chernihiv region, came under enemy fire.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, seven combat engagements have taken place, five of which are still ongoing. Russian forces also carried out 17 artillery strikes in the area.
