A 58-year-old man was arrested in the suburb of Efkarpia, in Thessaloniki, for stealing €364.50 from a church’s donation box.
The suspect was located on Monday night by patrolling police officers shortly after the money was removed from the church.
In his possession they found the cash he allegedly took and a makeshift tool that, according to the police, was used for the burglary.
