The Western Cape High Court reserved judgment in Ramaphosa's Phala Phala interdict bid, with a ruling expected by the end of next week.
Closing arguments were heard in the Western Cape High Court on Thursday, marking the conclusion of President Cyril Ramaphosa's two-day proceedings.
His legal team aimed to persuade the court to halt the impeachment inquiry against him, with judgment expected by the end of next week.
Advocate Wim Trengove SC used his final reply to argue that a petty thief gets a fairer shake from the National Prosecuting Authority than the president received from the panel that assessed the Phala Phala allegations against him.
Ramaphosa wants the inquiry stopped from commencing its work until the same court rules on his bid to set aside the report behind it.
