U.S. futures for the S&P 500 were down 0.1% and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were flat. Changes in futures do not necessarily predict movements after the opening bell.
In Europe, the Stoxx Europe 600 dropped 0.2% in morning trading. Rotork rose 66.6% and Indutrade added 8%. On the other hand, Telenor lost 9.4%, and Ocado Group slipped 7.2%. The FTSE 100 lost 0.5%. Other stocks in Europe were down as France's CAC 40 declined 0.3% and Germany's DAX fell 0.3%.
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index was flat at 96.86.
In commodities, Brent crude dropped 0.6% to $84.45 a barrel, and WTI crude dropped 0.4% to $79.26 a barrel. The European benchmark price for natural gas, the Dutch futures contract TTF, was up 0.2% to 54.64 euros a megawatt hour.
The German 10-year Bund yield climbed by 1 basis point to 3.163% from 3.15%, and the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury rose by 2 basis points to 4.57% from 4.555%. Bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
