Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi to launch IDAC Ombudsman oversight officers on Friday.
Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi will on Friday launch the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) Ombud Oversight Offices, taking aim at abuse of power and maladministration within the justice system.
The new office, based at the SALU Building in Pretoria, will be led by retired Judge Takalani Joseph Raulinga.
Its mandate includes investigating allegations of abuse of power, improper conduct, maladministration and other complaints linked to the work of the IDAC.
The launch will bring together Kubayi, Deputy Minister Andries Nel, Judge Raulinga and National Director of Public Prosecutions Advocate Shamila Batohi's successor, Advocate Mxolisi Mothibi, underscoring the government's focus on reinforcing institutional integrity and public confidence.
