IDAC Ombud, headed by retired Judge Takalani Raulinga, will on Sunday address the media about what steps will be taken against IDAC following revelations at the Madlanga Commission this week.
All eyes will be on the newly appointed Independent Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) Ombudsman, led by retired Judge Takalani Raulinga, today as he outlines the steps he intends to take in response to the growing controversies surrounding the directorate.
Raulinga is expected to address the media following the latest revelations involving IDAC that emerged at the Madlanga Commission.
The commission heard this week that the entity, which falls under the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), allegedly exceeded its mandate by laying criminal charges against Crime Intelligence (CI) senior officials over matters that should have been dealt with through the South African Police Service's human resources (HR) processes.
Another controversy is that IDAC abandoned charging CI head General Dumisani Khumalo and Major-General Nosipho Madondo, Intelligence Analysis and Coordination head, after they had submitted themselves at the Brooklyn police station in Pretoria on June 27.
