An Athens taxi driver was arrested Friday for massively overcharging customers he had picked up from the city’s Eleftherios Venizelos airport, authorities said.
A police statement said the 21-year-old suspect asked for €175 to take the travelers to the center of town – about four times the legal fare.
Police arrested him early Friday and took him to a prosecutor to be charged.
