Authorities on eastern Crete have arrested three taxi drivers suspected of cheating their customers, police said Tuesday.
According to a police statement the three men were caught Monday during a targeted crackdown by officers in Aghios Nikolaos.
It said the suspects, aged 48, 47 and 25, asked their customers for a higher fare than the reading on their taxi meters and on the receipts they issued.
Police said efforts to clamp down on dishonest taxi drivers would continue.
