A 17-year-old British teenager was hospitalized with multiple injuries after falling from a first-floor hotel balcony in the Athens suburb of Halandri early Friday, authorities said.
The incident occurred at approximately 5 a.m., according to preliminary information.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the teenager to Athens’ Red Cross (Erythros Stavros) Hospital, where he remains hospitalized with multiple injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the fall were not immediately clear. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
