He has now sadly died.‌He sustained multiple injuries after the fall from around four metres and was taken to Erythros Stavros Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition, according to local reports.‌The teen is understood to have bought alcohol from a local kiosk with a friend.A statement from his family issued via the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office reads has told how he was an "exceptional guitarist" who "brought joy wherever he went".They said: “It is not possible to put into words the shock and heartbreak we feel from the sudden loss of our beloved child.‌"He was a deeply loved son, an exceptional guitarist and a friend to so many. Full of laughter, he was someone who brought joy wherever he went. He will be missed beyond words."There is a space in this world that was uniquely his, one that can never be filled by anyone else. His warmth, his spirit, and the happiness he brought to others will never be forgotten."Our son will live on forever in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. We would like to thank everyone who has offered their support and compassion during this incredibly difficult time."The family also has raised awareness of Global Health Insurance Card for Britons travelling abroad.Article continues belowTheir statement continued: "We also wish to raise awareness to other parents of the critical importance of obtaining, in addition to insurance, a free Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC ) ahead of travel.
