A family drug-dealing business centered on a home in northern Athens has been dismantled and six suspected members arrested, authorities said Wednesday.

A police statement said the suspects, aged 19-62, were taken into custody during a raid Monday, and allegedly sold drugs throughout the Greater Athens region.

Officers seized more than 700 grams of marijuana and a small number of sleeping tablets which they said were found in the family home in the suburb of Halandri.

The detainees included the 25-year-old suspected gang leader.
