Police have condemned acts of vigilantism after Eersteriver residents killed a man suspected of raping a three year old girl.
An Eerste River mob is being investigated following the murder of a man allegedly caught raping a three-year-old girl. Graphic details follow.
The toddler was found bleeding, with only a vest on and nothing covering her lower body in a Forest Village field on Hood Road at around 10pm on Tuesday.
The community allegedly then killed the 42-year-old man on the spot.
Earlier in the day, at around 5.30pm, the girl was reported missing by her father.
