Since the beginning of the day, the Russian army has attacked the positions of Ukraine's Defense Forces 73 times. The enemy has been most active in the Sloviansk, Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka sectors.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook in its operational update as of 16:00 on Wednesday, July 1, according to Ukrinform.
Russian forces continue to shell border areas with artillery. Today, the settlements of Neskuchne, Sopych, Kozache, Tovstodubove, Korenok, Volfyne, Hirky, Buniakyne, Mala Slobidka, Bezsalivka, Potapivka, and Ulanove in the Sumy region, as well as Kovpynka in the Chernihiv region, came under enemy fire.
The invaders also carried out airstrikes on Luzhky and Korenok in the Sumy region.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian troops carried out 31 shelling attacks, including four using multiple launch rocket systems.
