Since the start of the day, the Russian army has attacked Ukrainian defenders' positions 38 times. The enemy is applying the most pressure in the Huliaipole sector and showing increased activity in the Pokrovsk sector.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 16:00 on Wednesday, May 20, according to Ukrinform.
Russian forces shelled the border settlements of Budky, Korenok, Novovasylivka, Bachivsk, Sopych, Rohizne, Ryzhivka, Potapivka, Iskryskivshchyna, and Ulanove in the Sumy region, as well as Khrinivka in the Chernihiv region. The enemy also carried out airstrikes near Pustohorod and Tovstodubove in the Sumy region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, three combat engagements took place. Russian forces launched one airstrike, dropped two guided aerial bombs, and carried out 38 shelling attacks, one of them involving multiple launch rocket systems.
