Russian forces have launched 57 attacks on Ukrainian Defense Forces positions since the beginning of the day, with the heaviest fighting taking place in the Huliaipole, Pokrovsk, and Sloviansk sectors.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an operational update as of 16:00 on Saturday, June 27 published on Facebook.
Russian troops shelled the border settlements of Korenok, Sopych, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Ryzhivka, and Malushyne in the Sumy region, as well as Mykolaivske and Yanzhulivka in the Chernihiv region, using artillery. Airstrikes were carried out on Hlukhiv and Luzhky.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, four combat engagements took place. Russian forces carried out 31 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian positions, including one using a multiple launch rocket system.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops made two attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses toward Karaichne and Khatnie. One engagement is still ongoing.
