Bulgarian authorities are continuing to investigate the serious accident involving a water attraction off the beach in Aheloy that left a 17-year-old tourist from Israel fighting for his life. Investigators are currently examining two main scenarios that may have led to the incident, while the owner of the attraction has been detained.

The accident occurred after six young people were thrown from an inflatable "banana" ride being towed by a jet ski. According to the initial information, the teenager suffered a severe head injury after striking coastal rocks. He remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit at the University Hospital in Burgas with a fractured skull, where doctors continue efforts to save his life.

Aheloy Mayor Dimitar Neychev said investigators are focusing on two possible explanations for the crash. According to one version, the inflatable drifted toward shallow water after being released and struck the rocks near the shore. The second theory suggests the jet ski made an incorrect turn, causing several riders to be thrown into the water, with the teenager suffering the most serious injuries.

"The information I have points to two possible scenarios. One is that after the ride was released, it drifted into the rocks because the water is shallower in that area. The other is that a wrong maneuver caused several of the passengers to fall, and one of the boys struck his head. Several people fell, but one was injured much more seriously," Neychev said.
