Bulgaria will remain under the influence of intense summer heat on Tuesday, June 30, with mostly sunny conditions across much of the country and a yellow weather warning in effect nationwide for dangerously high temperatures.

Daytime highs are expected to range from 34°C to 39°C, while temperatures in Sofia will reach around 34°C. A light to moderate east-northeasterly wind will provide only limited relief from the heat.

Conditions are forecast to become more unstable during the afternoon over Western Bulgaria and the central parts of Northern Bulgaria. As clouds develop, some areas are expected to experience brief showers accompanied by thunderstorms, although sunshine will dominate for much of the day.

Mountain regions will also begin the day with mostly clear skies before cumulus and storm clouds form around midday and into the afternoon. Localized rain and thunderstorms are expected, while moderate to strong winds from the east-northeast will affect higher elevations. Temperatures are forecast to reach approximately 28°C at 1,200 meters and around 19°C at 2,000 meters.

Along the Black Sea coast, conditions will remain favorable for beachgoers, with sunny weather throughout the day. Coastal temperatures will range between 28°C and 31°C, accompanied by a light to moderate east-northeasterly breeze. Sea water temperatures are expected to stay between 24°C and 26°C, while wave heights will remain relatively calm at 1 to 2 on the Beaufort scale.
