Temperatures across Bulgaria will rise further on Tuesday, August 11, with mostly sunny weather and maximum temperatures reaching 33C to 38C in most of the country. A yellow heat warning has been issued for 16 regions in central, northern, southern and southwestern Bulgaria.

The weather will remain sunny throughout the day, with a light east-northeasterly wind. Winds will be moderate in southeastern Bulgaria. Temperatures will be slightly lower along the Black Sea coast, while Sofia will see highs of around 33C to 34C.

Sunny conditions are also expected in the mountains, where winds will be light to moderate from the northeast. Temperatures will reach about 27C at an altitude of 1,200 meters and around 19C at 2,000 meters.

Along the Black Sea coast, the weather will stay sunny with light to moderate easterly winds. Maximum temperatures will range from 27C to 31C. Sea water temperatures will be between 25C and 26C, while waves will remain relatively low at 1 to 2 points.

Across the Balkan Peninsula, sunny weather is forecast, with only some afternoon cumulus clouds developing over the mountains. It will remain hot across the region, with temperatures reaching 38C to 40C in some lowland areas.
