Constance Scholtz's was murdered in Bellville South

The murder trial of Aletta Rose has not only torn apart two sisters' lives it's now straining relations between their children.

Sixy-three-year-old Rose stands accused of murdering and dismembering her 79-year-old sister Constance "Connie" Scholtz on 19 March 2026 in her Bellville-South home.

Menno Rose, Scholtz's son, revealed the case has created a rift between himself and his aunt's children.

"We are not on speaking terms, and they are right on their perspective that it is still alleged, but from my side, we want justice," Menno told the Weekend Argus.
