Two people on a motorcycle were arrested in the district of Keratsini, in Piraeus, on Monday after they crashed into a school bus while trying to avoid the police.
The two suspects, the 25-year-old driver and his 22-year-old passenger, were lightly injured in the crash and were transported to Tzanneio Hospital before being arrested for disobedience and traffic code violations.
An episodic chase between DIAS police officers and a motorcycle without license plates, on which two people were riding, ended in a traffic accident in the center of Keratsini.
According to ertnews, the incident began shortly after 3 p.m. in the area of Megara, when police officers spotted the motorcycle without license plates and signaled the driver to stop for inspection. The driver did not comply and sped away, prompting a police chase which ended when the motorcycle collided with a school bus carrying students.
