Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye appeared in court on Monday.

Media personality Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye has denied allegations against him following his arrest over an alleged confrontation involving an e-hailing driver in Edenvale, east of Johannesburg.

Maarohanye made the comments while speaking to media outside the Germiston Magistrate’s Court yesterday after his appearance for the criminal case.

The matter relates to an incident in Edenvale, where an e-hailing driver reported a confrontation after dropping off a female passenger at a residence. Maarohanye was arrested as a result of the altercation.

National police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said: “It is alleged that at approximately 7.30am, the e-hailing driver had transported a female passenger to a residence in Edenvale when he was confronted by the suspect, who accused him of being involved in a romantic relationship with his girlfriend.”
