Jub Jub has been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and shooting incident involving an e-hailing.
Media personality Molemo Maarohanye, popularly known as Jub Jub, has been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and shooting incident involving an e-hailing driver in Edenvale.
While police did not identify the suspect by name, eNCA reported on Sunday that the man arrested is Maarohanye. According to the broadcaster, he is expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Monday.
In a statement released on Sunday, police said a 45-year-old man was arrested on charges of kidnapping, unlawful discharge of a firearm and defeating the ends of justice following an incident that unfolded on Sunday morning.
SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said the incident began at about 7.30 am when an e-hailing driver dropped off a female passenger at a residence in Edenvale.
