Jub Jub has been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and shooting incident involving an e-hailing.
A routine e-hailing trip in Edenvale allegedly spiralled into a dramatic kidnapping and shooting incident on Sunday morning, leading to the arrest of media personality Molemo Maarohanye, better known as Jub Jub.
While police have not publicly identified the suspect, eNCA reported that the 45-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident is Maarohanye. The broadcaster said he is expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Monday.
According to police, the incident unfolded shortly after 7.30am when an e-hailing driver dropped off a female passenger at a residence in Edenvale.
SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe said the driver was allegedly confronted by a man who accused him of having a romantic relationship with his girlfriend.
