The small town of Abbotsdale, a mere nine kilometres outside Malmesbury, is reeling in shock after an accident on Saturday in which one of their own died.
“Kookwater” rugby scrumhalf and motorbike enthusiast Chad Steyn’s vibrant life rhythm was abruptly silenced around 8pm, when tragedy ended his journey far too soon.
Steyn, 32, a much-loved resident, died at approximately 8pm on Saturday.
It is suspected that he lost control of his motorcycle on the N7 and crashed into a concrete wall.
