The parents of a 12-year-old boy found driving his mother’s car through a village in the southern Peloponnese region face charges of neglect, police said Monday.
A police statement said the boy was negotiating the center of Kato Ahaia in the northwestern Peloponnese, “in an area traversed by vehicles and pedestrians, posing a threat to life and a danger of traffic accidents.”
The incident occurred on Saturday, the statement said. The boy’s father was located and arrested for failing to prevent him from taking the car and thus exposing him to danger.
The child’s mother faced similar charges.
