Two blocks of flats at the Schotsche Kloof sectional title scheme in Bo-Kaap, where residents have raised concerns over water restrictions.
Bo-Kaap residents have threatened protest action over water restrictions at the Schotsche Kloof sectional title scheme, with social media posts from residents saying some households have been without proper water access for days.
Others claimed the problem had persisted for weeks.
In posts shared in the Bo-Kaap community Facebook group and by residents this week, frustrations appeared to intensify as residents questioned why they were being forced to use alternative water points while homes were still occupied by families, pensioners and children.
Some of the most recent posts threatening protest action were posted on June 11, with residents calling for action if water was not restored. One poster-style post circulating among residents carried slogans including "Water to Schotsche Kloof flats", "Water is a right", "No tours" and "Tourists not welcome right now."
