The two organizations broke ground on a new sanitation facility at the Khuong Tien branch of Chieng Khuong Primary School in Chieng Khuong Commune on May 21. The project is part of a broader initiative covering 10 school sites across Son La, including locations in Muong Lam, Huoi Mot, Muong Hung, and Bo Sinh communes.

At the Khuong Tien branch, 144 students currently rely on temporary toilet facilities.
Lo Thi Ha, a teacher at Chieng Khuong Primary School, said the existing restroom was built about seven years ago using salvaged materials donated by local residents. The structure lacks proper toilet fixtures, requiring users to stand on bricks.
"We hope the new facility will be completed soon so our students can study in better conditions," Ha said.
