MANILA, Philippines — Senate President pro tempore Sherwin Gatchalian has sought an inquiry into the frequent red and yellow alerts of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), as well as the cause of the recent power interruptions across Luzon and Visayas.
Gatchalian filed Senate Resolution 425, noting that the NGCP placed Visayas grid under red alert for about 22 interval hours and yellow alert under 93 interval hours.
He also said that the Luzon grid was placed under red alert for 27 interval hours and yellow alert for about 5.5 interval hours.
