South Africa will experience unsettled weather, with rain and snow expected in various regions. Prepare for potential travel disruptions and hazardous conditions along the coast.
Friday will bring a spell of unsettled weather to parts of South Africa, with rain and showers expected along the southern and eastern regions while much of the central and western interior remains dry.
The highest rain chances are forecast along parts of the Eastern Cape coastline and adjacent interior, where there is a 60% chance of rain and showers during the morning hours. Some of these showers may be heavy at times, particularly between the Wild Coast and surrounding inland areas.
Snow is also possible over the higher mountains of the Eastern Cape and southern Drakensberg, adding a wintery feel to the day.
Along the KwaZulu-Natal coast and nearby eastern districts, a 60% chance of rain and thundershowers is expected during the morning, gradually easing later in the day. Residents should be prepared for wet roads, reduced visibility and localized travel disruptions.
