After the summer vacation, students returned to schools on Thursday.District Collector Anand Mohan received the children of Corporation Primary School at Perumalpuram with garlands and chocolates.The Collector, who went to the school much before the students arrived, was waiting for the children for a while. Once the students started coming to the school, Mr. Anand Mohan greeted them with garlands and chocolates. He held the hands of the children and took them to their classrooms.The Collector also checked the quality of breakfast served to the children and inaugurated the distribution of textbooks, notebooks, footwear etc.“As per the preliminary reports, admission in the government schools has increased. We’ve formed committees in each school to monitor dropouts, if any. After monitoring for a week, we’ll take immediate action to bring the dropouts back to the schools. We’ve designated senior officers in the rank of Deputy Collector to look into this issue. If any dropout is identified, due steps will be taken immediately to bring the child back to the school. Even the Deputy Collector is ready to visit the home of these dropouts to bring them to the stream of education,” Mr. Anand Mohan said.Chief Educational Officer M. Sivakumar was present.In Tenkasi, District Collector Ranjeet Singh visited Eswaran Pillai Primary School in Ilanji and checked the quality of breakfast served to the children.
