Students from Coimbatore and Tiruppur have brought laurels to their cities with their outstanding performance in the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) examinations. Millions of students from 70 countries, including over 75,000 students from Coimbatore and over 21,000 students from Tiruppur, had participated in the test. In Coimbatore district, Kaviyazhini D. (Class 1) from The Ideal Mount Litera Zee School secured first rank with a gold medal in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO). Pritikaa D. (Class 2) from Keartiman Public School secured first rank with a gold medal in the International Computer Science Olympiad (ICSO). Jeremy Felix (Class 3) from Stanes School secured first rank with a gold medal in the International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO). Luhith A. (Class 4) from Yuvabharathi Public School secured second rank with a silver medal in the International Computer Science Olympiad (ICSO). All the students will be honoured with medals along with certificates of outstanding performance. In Tiruppur district, Jai Pranesh S. (Class 8) from Jai Shriram Academy Matriculation Hr. Sec. School (IGKO), Ajay K.P. (Class 1) from Bharathi Vidhyaa Kendhra School (IMO) and Iniya V. (Class 2) from Sri Nachammai Vidhyavani Senior Secondary School (the ICSO) secured international first rank and will be awarded with gold medals, certificates of outstanding performance and certificates of distinction.Mahabir Singh, founder and director of Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), said the SOF Olympiads continue to inspire young minds to strive for excellence and develop critical thinking.
