Two students from Coimbatore have secured the perfect score of 45 out of 45 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme in the May 2026 examination session.Shriya Shruti Misra and Adityan Diwakar Vidya of Chinmaya International Residential School (CIRS) are among the world toppers in the current IB Diploma examination session, CIRS Headmaster and Head of School for IB E. Ganesh said.Shriya secured 45/45 with Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Physics and Economics at the Higher Level, and English A Language and Literature, Hindi B and Chemistry at the Standard Level. She has received admission offers and scholarships from universities and will pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).The other student, Adityan Diwakar Vidya, also scored 45/45. His Higher Level subjects were Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Physics and Chemistry, while his Standard Level subjects were Business Management, French B and English A Language and Literature.Adityan also scored 1,600 in the SAT and has taken up Electrical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University with a 50% grant, according to the school.
