Reddam House Durbanville has cemented its reputation for academic excellence following an extraordinary performance in the Cambridge International examinations, marked by a historic record-breaker and a haul of 210 subject distinctions.
The Western Cape school’s Grade 11 cohort delivered a stellar showing in the June 2026 IGCSE examinations, securing an overall aggregate average of 79% across 369 individual examination results in 17 subjects. Over half the class—51% of candidates—achieved an A or A* aggregate, with 25% of all individual subject results soaring above 90%. Nine subjects recorded aggregate averages above 80%.
Neil Madeleyn
Leading the IGCSE cohort was Neil Madeleyn, who achieved a remarkable 95% aggregate, including 98% in both Mathematics and Chemistry. Close behind were Michael Hamdulay (94% aggregate) and Etienne Louw (93% aggregate), alongside impressive 92% aggregates from Jejoon Kim, Alexander Smit, and Jessica Kellerman.
