Nine talented hockey players from Reddam House Constantia have secured coveted spots in the Western Province provincial teams, following an exceptionally competitive season of trials and local league matches.
The selections mark a major milestone for the school's sports programme, rewarding the athletes' resilience and relentless work ethic over the past year. The nine representatives will now advance to the interprovincial tournaments to test their skills against South Africa's elite youth players.
The selected athletes include Emma Hibbert, who joins the Under-18A Girls squad, alongside Cassidy Frank, Sally Gitlin, and Kieran Solomon, who all earned selection for the Under-18B teams. The Under-16A Girls line-up will feature Courtney Thomas and Tammah Luck, while Salma Jacobs steps into the Under-16B Girls side. Rounding off the school's impressive provincial haul, Emily Hougaard and Dhiya Ramnarayan have both been named in the Under-14 South Girls regional squad.
