Around 80% of students from government schools in Coimbatore district who passed the Class XII public examination this year have secured admission to higher education institutions, according to the district administration.To ensure that all students who cleared the examination continue their studies, the district administration has appointed 114 senior government officials as Higher Education Enrolment Monitoring Officers for 114 government higher secondary schools in the district.A total of 11,182 students from government schools appeared for the Class XII public examination in the 2025-26 academic year, of whom 10,409 passed.Officials said around 300 students who cleared the examination have not yet applied for any higher education course, while several others have submitted applications and are awaiting admission.
