Latvian pro-Russian politician Aleksejs Roslikovs, who has been charged with inciting hatred, has fled to Belarus. At a press conference in Minsk he followed the propaganda script with claims about how things are "good in Belarus" and "bad in Latvia".
Roslikovs, who was then the leader of the pro-Russian party "Stabilitātei", served as a member of parliament until 2025, after which he was elected to the Riga City Council. While serving as an MP, he allegedly spread various false claims on social media to incite hatred in society, according to the prosecutor's office.
