The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has pledged to provide watertight security during Eid-el-Kabir festivities as it deploys no fewer than 3,250 personnel in the state.
This is contained in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, a copy of which was made available to The PUNCH on Monday.
“The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has completed all the necessary arrangements to provide watertight security during Eid-el-Kabir festivities in the state,” the statement said.
According to the statement, the State Commandant of the corps, Commandant Mohammed Hassan Agalama, has approved the deployment of 3,250 operatives across the state for peaceful celebrations during and after the festive period.
It added that special security attention will be paid to various Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, and public places where people converge to celebrate the Eid.
