The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has ordered heightened nationwide security deployments ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, assuring Nigerians of improved safety measures while urging citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.

As part of measures to ensure a peaceful celebration, the Inspector-General directed "Commissioners of Police and Tactical Commanders across all State Commands and the Federal Capital Territory to strengthen security deployments and enhance proactive policing measures throughout the festive period.”
