The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kaduna State Command, says it has deployed 2,000 personnel to ensure adequate security during Eid-el-Kabir celebrations across the state.
This is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Kaduna by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Habeeb Badamasi.
Badamasi quoted the State Commandant, Panam Musa, as saying that the deployment was part of efforts to guarantee a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.
According to him, the deployed personnel comprise 120 senior officers and 1,880 rank-and-file officers stationed at prayer grounds, strategic locations, recreational centres, highways, and other critical areas across the state.
“The command has directed Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to intensify surveillance, strengthen intelligence gathering, and enforce crime prevention measures within their respective jurisdictions.
